• sieht voll geil aus;
• erfindet das Rad teilweise neu.

Auf der Suche nach neuen Ideen für das Webdesign der neuen Seite von „Schöner Schenken“, purzle ich nun schon seit ein paar Tagen von einer Seite des WWW zur nächsten und entdecke dabei die Web-Technologien neu.

Um (auch für mich) ein paar Ansätze und Ideen festzuhalten, einfach mal eine kleine Link-Liste.

• Die Wikipedia-‘Definition‚ des „Web 2.0″.
• Die „WEB 2.0 Awards“. (Haben eine schöne lange Liste von Seiten, die neue/alte Techniken benutzen…)
• Ajax – Abkürzung für Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, ein Konzept der Datenübertragung zwischen einem Server und dem Browser. Hier gibt es noch zwei gute (englische) Einführungs-Artikel: „What’s Ajax?“ und „Ajax: A New Approach to Web Applications“.
• Ruby on Rails – from the Ajax in the view, to the request and response in the controller, to the domain model wrapping the database, Rails gives you a pure-Ruby development environment.
• script.aculo.us provides you with easy-to-use, compatible and, ultimately, totally cool JavaScript libraries to make your web sites and web applications fly, Web 2.0 style.
• moo.fx – is a superlightweight, ultratiny, megasmall javascript effects library, written with prototype.js.
• Lightbox JS is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page. It’s a snap to setup and works on all modern browsers.
• Eine Sammlung von „Web 2.0″-Logos und dem daraus resultierenden „Web 2.0 Color Scheme“ – gesammelt und zusammengestellt von Dr. Web.

Modernes Web-Designs zeichnet sich auch durch die strikte Trennung des Contents vom Design aus. Dazu braucht es natürlich Köpfe, die Standards (weiter-)entwickeln und setzen – gerade im Bereich des Cascading Style Sheets:

• css Zen Garden: The Beauty in CSS Design – A demonstration of what can be accomplished visually through CSS-based design.
• css-discuss.org – a mailing list devoted to talking about CSS and ways to use it in the real world; in other words, practical uses and applications.
• A List Apart, 37signals, Daring Fireball, Waxy.org, The Morning News, Kottke.org and Coudal Partners make up The Deck.
• A List Apart Magazine – explores the design, development, and meaning of web content, with a special focus on techniques and benefits of designing with web standards.
• Dave Shea – a graphic designer that is writing on mezzoblue.com, a semi–daily expository and exploratory on all things web, design, and typographic.
• Alex King – an 8 year veteran of the Silicon Valley boom days that is doing web development since 1996.
• Matthew Mullenweg (a.k.a. Photo Matt) – is the founding developer of WordPress, the blogging software that runs much of this site and thousands of other sites around the world.
• Shaun Inman is the designer/developer responsible for Designologue, Mint and IFR. His work has been featured or mentioned in numerous print publications and around the web.

Natürlich müssen die Ideen, die in der doch sehr großen Community aufkommen, auch umgesetzt und „in großem Stil“ umgesetzt, bzw. an den Mann/die Frau gebracht, werden.
Nicht zuletzt tuen die Community-Mitglieder das ihrige, aber das Netz benötigt zur Promo riesige Unternehmen wie Google mit seinen sehr populären Services (GMail, Google Maps oder Google Suggest), um bestimmte „neue“ Dinge ’salonfähig‘ machen zu können.
